The history of Test It LAB

Test It LAB was founded in 2012 by biochemists Dr Elsabe Botes and Dr Olga de Smidt. The laboratory started operating in January of 2013 and achieved SANAS / ISO 17025 accreditation within 2 years. Since then, we have maintained our accreditation status with minimum non-conformances and have even extended our range of accredited tests.

Test It LAB offers water analysis according to SANS241:2015 requirements – the South African Drinking Water Standard. We pride ourselves in not only providing an analytical service, but also to engage with our clients to advise them of possible risks and also the best way to treat and use their water. We aim to understand what our clients’ needs are and to form long term relationships to help them achieve their goals.

We have a secure and diverse client base that consists of local and district municipalities, private sector clients in construction and the energy sector, and we pride ourselves in providing service and advice to the average person who wants to be water independent or are concerned about what comes out of their taps.
