Test It LAB offers water analysis according to SANS241:2015 requirements – the South African Drinking Water Standard. We pride ourselves in not only providing an analytical service but also engaging with our clients to advise them of possible risks and helping them find the best way to treat and use their water. We aim to understand what our clients’ needs are and to form long term relationships to help them achieve their goals.
We serve many different types of clients ranging from local and district municipalities, private sector clients in construction and energy sectors, to the average person who wants to be water independent or is concerned about what comes out of their taps.

MEET THE TEAM
Dr Elsabe Botes
Dr Elsabe is the founder and managing director of Test It LAB. She holds a PhD in Biotechnology and several patents in water treatment.
Elsabe is a registered professional scientist and a member of the Water Institute of South Africa. She is passionate about water and water quality and has been involved in several water storage and reclamation projects to make the world a better place… one liter at a time.
Elsabe is co-owned by three cats, Isis (no relation to terrorists), Minya (alter ego to Xena Warrior Princess) and Pepprr (a tortoiseshell terror).
Lindsey Grobbelaar
Lindsey holds a BSc degree in Food & Nutrition from the University of the Free State. Having worked her way up through a SANAS, DALRRD and DAFF accredited facilities, she has a thorough understanding of quality systems.
As a manager, Lindsey prioritizes quality analysis and reporting. She is a natural learner and has obtained an ISO 17025:2017 Laboratory Quality Management Systems Certificate and a Junior Management Certificate. Lindsey is constantly expanding her professional knowledge in water quality in order to deliver the best results to our clients.
Mother of a young son, Lindsey enjoys baking and solving puzzles in her “free time”.
Sunet van Biljon
Sunet is responsible for clients’ experience as the first line of interaction and therefore our most visible Brand Ambassador. She supports and improves our systems in the “engine room” so that we can deliver on our promise of being Obsessively Accurate.
Sunet has a National Diploma in Commercial Administration and coupled with her natural talents such as creating order in chaos, bringing calm into a storm, helping team members to collaborate and foreseeing potential risks, makes her the invisible glue that keeps us running smoothly.
Interesting facts about Sunet: She was a champion at shotput, discuss and high-jump. Her big wish is to one day acquire a Code 14 drivers’ license.
Francois Le Roux
Francois has presented scientific papers on water quality and microbial diversity within drinking water distribution systems at local and international conferences as part of his Masters thesis.
He is currently developing a water quality index for distribution systems that will aid water services providers to maximize water treatment plant efficiency and improve overall water quality. You can get a small preview of this index that will help you to interpret your water quality results here.
Francois is an ant keeper and you might find some on his desk when you pay him a visit. He also tells the best dad jokes!
Nthuseng Ntlantsana
Nthuseng has an innovative, thorough and methodical approach to her work ensuring quality of results. She holds a BTech in Environmental Health from the Central University of Technology. She is currently pursuing her Masters degree in water quality management and is passionate about water and research.
As a mother to a beautiful baby boy, she enjoys spending time with family and spends her ‘free’ time meditating, reading books and listening to music.
Pelonomi Dikoko
Born and bred in the North West province, in Taung, Pelonomi studied and obtained a B-Tech in Environmental Health at Central University of Technology Free State.
Pelo is a good cook and loves baking. She gives credit to her dad and sister, because they enjoy cooking together as a family. After all, food tastes better when you eat it with your loved ones.
She has a kind demeanour and has a warm personality. Calm as a millpond, she is the logical thinker in all situations. As the lab rats would say: She is the voice of reason.
Kelebogile Nkwadipo
Kelebogile Nkwadipo is a Bloemfontein local and grew up in Rocklands township. She is a BSc graduate in Biochemistry and Genetics and gained valuable experience at the UFS Microbiology Food laboratory as a laboratory analyst. After completing ISO 17025 laboratory quality management system training, Kele completed an internship at the UFS Next generation sequencing unit, Division of Virology. Here she was involved in sequencing of SARS-CoV-2 whole genome sequencing and metagenomics.
Kele describes herself as a go-getter, she believes in tapping into different avenues, throwing herself into every opportunity that comes andtraining her brain to handle a wide range of challenges because the sky is truly the limit and the world her playground.
Ryzir
Ryzir is our super friendly doggo who will welcome you as soon as you arrive. He also takes responsibility to accompany everyone to the door.
He loves playing fetch with his tennis ball or any of his many toys – all of which he knows by name!
